Picture Day For The Bears

I love each and every one of the bears that I create but I know that they are destined to go to their forever homes and so every time I finish a bear and it has had a photo shoot it goes away into storage to keep it as perfect as possible for its new home.

With each bear boxed up they rarely get to meet each other and I don’t see them together unless my wonderful collectors send me photos of their hugs (which I absolutely love to see).

When I finished Quentin and uploaded photos it was suggested that he looked like Noah’s brother so I wanted to photograph them together.

Quentin and Noah

I think they definitely could be brothers, but they weren’t the only bears that fancied coming out of storage and so all of my bears came out for a photo day!

I had so much fun and I think the bears did too. Some of these bears have been waiting a while for a forever home but I know that when they do get adopted they will be in the best possible condition to travel to their new homes. Sadly they had to go back into storage for now but I am hopeful that it won’t be for too long.

Quentin liked meeting the other bears.

I can’t wait to create more bears and seeing them all together makes me really happy.

Every Bear Has a Tale To Tell

I really love bears, I love to create them, seeing them come to life from flat pieces of fabric and take on personalities of their own. Every little bear that I create is unique and I never repeat them because they are one of a kind.

Every bear has a little story and a painting too. I love to paint with watercolours and am a full time illustrator. It helps to start their journey to find their forever home and it really is just the beginning.

This blog will be full of bear stories and pictures and I hope that you have fun coming back and seeing all of the stories and bears. Maybe you will find one that is just right to join your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I attended The Great Western Teddy Bear Fair in December 2019 I was asked a few questions by the bear fans looking at my work. I thought that maybe some of you lovely people might want answers to these questions too, so here are some answers but if you don’t see your answer here please contact me and I will answer as soon as possible.

Bear Making Schedule!

2019 bears by Samantha Webb

In 2019 I created all of the bears in the picture above. I didn’t get to create as many as I would of liked because I had an accident in June and broke my leg leaving me bed bound for 4 months. My pain killers made it incredibly difficult to thread a needle. Much of my little bear business dropped off because I could not keep up with social media or creating new bears.

To throw myself back into the bear making game, I signed up for The Great Western Teddy Bear Fair in Tiverton. I re-homed two of my bears and met some amazing people who were so positive about my bears that it has given me renewed inspiration to make my little business even better. I have to thank everyone who helped make the day so inspirational.

In 2020 I have decided to be more structured in my business. I will have set days to release my bears, the second and fourth Friday of every month will be BEAR DAY! With plenty of sneak peeks in the days in between. I am hoping that you will be excited to see the bears on bear days and that I can make even better bears because I have set days to work towards.

If you have any questions please do ask,
